Rule Priority
Every rule in a ruleset has a priority of High, Medium, or Low. The priority sets how urgently flags from that rule should be reviewed, and controls where those flags are brought to the attention of your billing team and timekeepers.
Default priorities
Each rule type has a default priority, which is used when the rule is added to a ruleset. The defaults can be configured for your law firm by Antidote - contact [email protected] if you would like to change them.
Changing a rule's priority
The priority of any rule can be changed in any ruleset, so the same rule can be High for one client and Low for another. Each rule in a ruleset shows its current priority.
- When adding a rule to a ruleset, the Priority is set to the rule's default. Choose a different priority if needed.
- To change the priority of a rule already in a ruleset, open the rule's menu, select Edit, and choose a new Priority.
See Creating Rulesets for more on adding and configuring rules.
Where priority is used
The priority of a rule is applied to every flag that the rule creates. An individual flag can also be raised to High by using Notify Timekeeper on it.
- Flags - the priority of each flag is shown in the time entry tables, which can be filtered by priority. A High Priority Flagged summary shows the value of high priority flags along with the number of fixes ready to review. See Flag priority.
- My Time - high priority flags are shown on the timekeeper's High Priority tab, next to All Flags.
- Email notifications - timekeepers can choose to receive a High Priority email about high priority flags on their time.
Make a rule High priority if you want its flags brought to the attention of your timekeepers immediately. They will appear on each timekeeper's High Priority tab in My Time.
